Lipton, Nigeria’s leading tea brand, celebrates with Muslim faithfuls across the country as the brand promotes the essence of goodness with the “Don’t Just Think, Do” campaign across major central mosques in Maiduguri and Abuja from June 7 – 10, 2018.

As one of Nigeria’s far-reaching campaigns encouraging people to do good irrespective of religion and ethnicity, Lipton has toured several cities to appreciate people who are committed to service in various fields.

Speaking during the mosque activation at the Area One Central Mosque, Garki, Abuja, the Chief Imam, Imam Rabiu Sheikh Suleiman extolled the virtues of kindness and appreciation for one another, while also emphasizing that Islam is about love and care for one’s neighbour – no matter who they are.

“The essence of Ramadan is prayer and charity, and we thank Allah that Lipton has demonstrated a selfless act that can never be erased in our memories. We appreciate these acts of kindness, and as the messenger of Allah said, ‘He who gives food to a fasting person to break his fast receives the same reward as the person fasting’.

“We pray that Allah showers his countless blessings on all Nigerians this holy month of Ramadan and always,” he said.

Building on the activities from last year, Lipton will visit more cities for the mosque activations and also reach out to 1,000 widows by giving them care packs and seed funds.

Mosque activations have been held in Lagos, Katsina, Keffi and Sokoto. The campaign continues with Kano and Kaduna set to be toured during the next series of activations.
