The Managing Partner of RED, Chude Jidenonwo has been invited to give a tribute at The Headies Veterans Night, holding on Friday October 19, 2012 at the Grand Ballroom of Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria.
Mr. Jideonwo has been selected as a journalist with over 10 years of experience to give a tribute to the Veterans of the Nigerian Music industry. Some of those to be honored are Majek Fashek, Onyeka Onwenu, Stella Monye, Orits Wiliki, Sir Shina Peters, Wasiu Ayinde Barister, Pa Fatai Rolling Dollars, Teju Kareem, Orlando Julius, Felix Liderty, Odion Iruje, Laolu Akins, Ras Kimono and Alhaja Salawa Abeni.
Mr. Jideonwo’s love for classics and legends like has review and interview legends including Majek Fashek, Sonny Okosuns, Onyeka Onwenu and others, distinguishing himself as a culture critic writing for NEXT, The Guardian and Thisday, the UK Guardian, amongst others.
Performing at the events will be; Waje performing Onyeka Onwenu’s ‘Bia nulu’, Timi Dakota performing Majek Fashek’s “Send Down The Rain”, 2face Idibia will be singing Mike Okri’s “Time Na Money”. Other performances are Darey Art Alade’s cover of Shina Peters’ “Afro Juju”, Faze singing Bongos Ikwue’s “Cock Crow At Dawn” and Tosin Martins performing Orlando Julius’ “Ololufe”. The host for the night will be veteran OAP, Patrick Doyle.
